Guangzhou Port (Nansha) Acquires 52.51% Shares of Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group

On Nov 13th, 2018 China listing company, Guangzhou Port (Nansha), announced its offering of 500 million RMB($72.46 Million USD) to acquire 52.51% shares from Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group.

Wyckoff, New Jersey December 18, 2018 – This December, Guangzhou Port Authority, Guangzhou Port Group (Nansha) and Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group held a promotion event in Zhongshan City. It is the first time that Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group co-operated with Guangzhou Port Group to Promote Nansha in West PRD Area.

The 52.51% acquisition of Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group is Guangzhou Ports (Nansha) first step in the consolidation efforts in the Guangdong Province. The acquisition will compliment the current network of the company portfolio and will further generate synergies and positive long-term financial returns.

Zhongshan Port and Shipping Group, founded in 1953, has total assets of 1 billion RMB. It possesses 3 terminals in Zhongshan city including Zhongshan Terminal, Xiaolan Terminal and Shenwan Terminal, with a total annual throughput of over 1 million TEU. It also engages Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center, and is one of the logistics leading enterprises with relatively large scale and strength, possessing 16 subordinate enterprises.

  • Three Ports with 23 berths in different sizes for bulk, and containers
